The natural world has an abundance of amazing species. Still today we are discovering new species of animals and plants but at the same time pressures from human population growth is rapidly forcing many species to become extinct.

My first connection with wildlife as a young boy was when I discovered a blue-tongued lizard roaming in my backyard. Instantly I was overwhelmed and couldn’t believe that such a creature existed. From there on my fascination with wildlife grew. Herpetofauna became my main focus of interest. Keeping reptiles in captivity and studying them in the field has broadened my knowledge and understanding about the natural world. Planet earth is an unique wonder, and only through the understanding of evolution has it helped me understand how life on earth exsists.

Over the years I have had the pleasure of travelling and encountering a variety of different species. I could not resist but take the opportunity to photograph the wildlife that has captivated me.
